Actually, you should probably make a LDoA character of every class in case there are any profession-based restrictions.

A real man would go and put in it their HoM, then make a new character and do it again.

The Hall of Monuments is a gimmick to get you to play Eye of the North. I don't think they'll make an exception for your perma-pre.

They've made exceptions to the Torment weapons, so who knows what else they'll add. At least their showing concern for it, which is a good start.

Yeah, but you still have to have eotn and physically bring the torment weapons to the hall of monuments, you see.

It's not that perma-pre characters are "no longer loved." I doubt aNet had fully considered this situation.

The way I see it, aNet has one of two options to choose from:

1) No, you must go HoM to input the LDoA title, or
2) Okay, we'll give you an alternative option (something along the lines of having HoM opened on/by other characters or thru an NPC).

I, personally, think it'd be against the consistency with the "rules of Tyria" that aNet has thusfar established in the game to allow perma-pre characters to "travel into the future" and unlock HoM without having truly traveled there. Nor do I see the point in staying in Pre-searing forever unless you have a habit of using that "big fish (in a little pond)" to impress and recruit new players for your guild; or if you just like helping new players.

I would recommend, however, keeping that player in Pre-searing until aNet does address this issue officially; because I don't want to read all the QQ threads by people who panicked and left Pre-searing prematurely.

Hmm time travel ftw .

I figure when my [future] LdoA character is complete, i'll probably just wait out in Pre until GW2 comes out. By then, i anticipate most people to have moved on, and no one really giving a crap about being in pre lol. Just my opinion, but who knows, maybe people will still want to play the old version of the game .

My reasons: The lattermost (I enjoy helping new players, I actually have a habit of congrajulating every Max title announcement I see ^^)

I enjoy presear's simplicity and scenery, and I enjoy living in an alternate, ectoless economy. Just my reasons.

What about a special Pre HOM hehe. A nice little stand for your pet and a stand for your favourite Gate Monkey. And somewhere to put the awesome purple you got. And if you could be bothered to run around to get that extra armor set then lets have a spot for that too !
